Tengo sed Cantina - Fuego
Mexican Style Cantina - Power and Light District

Pretty much the most popular hot spot at The Power and Light District, Tengo sed Cantina / Fuego is located at the upper corner of the courtyard.

Tengo sed Cantina is the main bar and Fuego is the little bar that faces directly into the courtyard serving beverages to the masses without actually having to enter the bar itself.  Fuego is very handy when Tengo sed gets really crowded.

Tengo has both an indoor bar and restaurant and an outdoor patio area that often features live entertainment.

Howl at The Moon
Dueling Pianos Bar - Power and Light District

If you're in the mood for live entertainment and crowd participation then you MUST stop in to Howl at The Moon dueling piano bar while visiting The Power and Light District.

Indie on Main
Located inside The Midland Theatre

Though not located directly in the Power and Light District, Indie on Main is a great little place to grab a quick drink before attending a show or special event at The Midland Theatre.

The Midland Theatre is one of Kansas City's oldest and most historic theaters, located at 1228 Main Street - just north and west of The Power and Light District.  The Midland features several national acts in concert each year as well as several special events including Kansas City Charity Fundraisers.

Indie on Main is basically a little bar located directly inside of The Midland Theatre that gets concert and event going folks going before they attend a show at The Midland.

McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon
One of the original P&L hot spots!

McFadden's was one of the first hot spots to open in the Power and Light District, in fact many people thought that McFadden's WAS the Power and Light District, since it seemed to be the only place where anyone was hanging out.

McFadden's continues to be one of the most popular nightclubs at the P&L featuring hot happy hour specials, cool atmosphere and great live bands like The Dave Stephens Band and The Zeros.

Mosaic
Late Night "Living Room" Club - Power and Light District

Although they claim to be an "after work" happy hour spot, this can't be possible because they don't even open their doors until 9pm.

But if you can wait until after 9pm, you're in for a treat.  Mosaic is an extremely comfortable "living room" set nightclub with a variety of Kansas City DJs and an upscale clientele.  Mosaic features a nice smoking friendly balcony that overlooks downtown Kansas City.

PBR Big Sky
Cowboy and Cowgirl Yee Haw Bar - Power and Light District

You told your friends that you didn't feel like riding the mechanical bull.  Two hours and 8 Pabst Blue Ribbons later, your flopping back and forth, whooting and hollerin' wildly at warp speed on the bull of destiny.

PBR Big Sky features nightly entertainment, either by the wait staff or by drunken customers riding a mechanical bull.  Either way, you're bound to make some great memories.

PBR Big Sky in Kansas City is available for private parties and special events.

Savvy
Coffee and Wine Bar - Power and Light District

Surely boasting the longest hours of operation at the Power and Light District, Savvy serves up fresh brewed coffee and wine from 8am until 1am most days of the week!

The Jones
Swimming Pool Patio Bar - Power and Light District

The Jones is definitely a first for Kansas City - and where else but the Power and Light District.

Built to make the cowtown residents feel like they are in a bigger (and cooler) city, The Jones is a rooftop bar with a swimming pool, 12 private cabanas, a swim-up bar and DJs playing the boom boom all day long.

Grab your trunks and head to The Jones for a great start to another great night at the P&L district.
